WELCOME TO THIS MAGIC MONDAY MOMENT

Kicking off your week with some thoughts around a favorite Disney quote (because in my world - Disney is life!).

Happy Monday!

A couple of weeks ago – my family and I visited our happiest place…Walt Disney World!  My husband and I were walking around the grounds of our resort – Disney’s Contemporary / Bay Lake Towers – when we stumbled upon that nights Movie Under the Stars – Frozen 2!  We stopped for a few minutes to watch.  And when Olaf said the following quote – I quickly jotted it down in my Notes app!

What Olaf says is something I’ve been muttering to myself a lot lately! And I think he's onto something most of us need to hear - especially during those times when everything feels like it's happening to you instead of with you.

We've all been there. The plan falls apart. A relationship gets hard. Life throws something at you that you absolutely did not plan for. The world around you seems to be in constant chaos.

And the instinct is to scramble to manage, fix, and control every moving piece.  Or simply hide.

The problem is, that's exhausting. And most of those pieces were never ours to control in the first place.

So what can you control?  You can control things like:

·       Your response.

·       Your tone.

·       Your boundaries.

·       Whether you pause before you react, or whether you take care of yourself when things get heavy.

·       Whether you choose to show up with intention - even when the circumstances don't cooperate.

That's not giving up. That's getting grounded.

Like I said - I think about this a lot…in my own life and in the work I do helping people lead from the inside out. Because it turns out, whether you're navigating a tough season at home or a challenging situation at work, the starting point is always the same:

Who do you want to be in this moment? That question…and your answer…is always within your reach.

You don't have to have it all figured out. You just have to start with what's in front of you.

That's where the magic is!

Where are you spending energy trying to control something that was never yours to manage? What's one thing that is within your control that you could focus on instead?

Wishing you a wonderful week. You've got this!
