Message from Andy
WELCOME TO THIS MAGIC MONDAY MOMENT
Kicking off your week with some thoughts around a favorite Disney quote (because in my world - Disney is life!).

Happy Monday!
Sometimes – it’s the little things that get us excited, right? One of those little things for me right now is the fact that Toy Story 5 is now on Disney+! Yes – I’m in my 50’s….excited about a Disney/Pixar movie. And I love that this part of me will never change. 😀
Anywho…with Toy Story on the brain – I chose a quote from the franchise for this week’s message. One of the final scenes from Toy Story 3 is a tearjerker. Andy is giving his precious childhood toys to Bonnie, the toy’s new kid. He shares details of each toy with her as he passes them over. When sharing Woody, he says this:
Andy is talking about someone else having your back (in this case – Woody). It feels so good to know that someone will support you always.
However, when I hear this quote – I can’t help but think about the power of saying that very thing to yourself - from yourself. Your voice to you. You having your own back. You believing in your abilities, your dreams, your everything. You being there for yourself, no matter what.
That might not seem believable - because we are our own toughest critic. At least that’s how it is for me. I do a great job at beating myself up, I don’t need anyone else to do it!
But I also know this: the one person who is guaranteed to be there for you no matter what is…you. So, doesn’t it make sense to have a supportive relationship with yourself?
Having your own back doesn't mean pretending you're perfect. Woody sure isn't. He gets jealous, he's stubborn, and he can be a little bossy. But he shows up, every single time.
That's the relationship I want with myself. Not a cheerleader who never tells the truth, but someone who tells the truth and stays.
So I’ve decided to practice talking to myself the way Andy talks about Woody: with loyalty, with belief, and with a "no matter what" attached.
You in?
When things go sideways for you this week, ask yourself one question: "What would someone who's got my back say right now?"
Wishing you a wonderful week. You've got this!
