Message from Aunt Billie

WELCOME TO THIS MAGIC MONDAY MOMENT

Kicking off your week with some thoughts around a favorite Disney quote (because in my world - Disney is life!).

Happy Monday!

Let’s start with a question this week…what is your relationship with failure? Does the thought of failure give you a pit in your stomach, or does it spark curiosity?

It’s not always fun to talk about failure - but it sure does have a lot to teach us.

I really like this quote by Aunt Billie from the 2007 Disney movie Meet the Robinsons:

(it’s a great scene of failure being celebrated – here is the clip!)

It’s such a simple statement, but it holds a lot of truth. When things go well, we often celebrate (as we should!). But do we pause to reflect? It’s when things don’t go as planned that we should slow down, reassess, and shift.

Failure gets a bad rap, but it’s actually a sign of movement, effort, and courage. It means you tried. It means you showed up. And it usually means you’re growing.

So today, maybe instead of avoiding failure, we look at it straight on and ask “What are you here to teach me?”

Where have you failed recently—and what did you learn about yourself in the process?

Wishing you a wonderful week. You've got this!
