Kicking off your week with some thoughts around a favorite Disney quote (because in my world - Disney is life!).

Happy Monday!
Calling on Disney fans! A big announcement came out of Disney this past week – Josh D’Amaro (current Chairman of Disney Experiences) will succeed Bob Iger as CEO, Effective March 18th, 2026. We also must give a shout out to at Dana Walden, who is being promoted to the newly created role of President and Chief Creative Officer!
In light of the announcement, I wanted to choose a quote from Bob this week. This one feels relevant – especially in this moment of time:
I really want you to pause with that quote.
So often, we think of risk as bold leaps, big decisions, or dramatic change. But do you ever think about the risk in staying exactly where we are? It makes sense why we do that – it’s more comfortable, more familiar, more certain.
Even though maintaining the status quo might be out of alignment of what’s most important or with where we ultimately want to go – it can feel safe.
Here’s the risk: Over time, it can ever-so-quietly disconnect us from growth and possibility.
Perhaps it’s a good time to ask ourselves a few questions:
· Where might I be choosing comfort over curiosity?
· What conversation, idea, or decision have I been postponing?
· What small shift could create new energy or clarity?
This doesn’t always mean burning everything down or making a drastic move. Honestly – if you are going through it all right now [like I am] – our nervous system can’t handle that.
But growth still happens with even one focused step.
Think about simply saying the thing you’ve been holding back or trying a different approach or maybe even letting go of “this is how we’ve always done it”.
Making a difference and creating meaningful impact is less likely to happen by maintaining the status quo.
Is that worth the risk?
This week – think about where movement - even a small one - matters more than maintaining what’s familiar.
