Have you seen the new Disney animated film, Zootopia 2? Oh. My. Gosh. I love it so much. So many easter eggs and powerful messages!
It also provides me with several new quotes, starting with this one from Chief Bogo:
I love this quote because it calls out something we often dance around: we say we’re committed, capable, ready for more… and then an opportunity shows up and we shrink back.
How do I know this? Because I’m kind of an expert at it.
This might happen when faced with a new project or promotion, a tough conversation, a chance to speak up in a meeting or an opening to advocate for yourself.
Sometimes those moments of a “chance to shine” can feel both exciting AND terrifying! They are also an invitation for good ‘ol imposter syndrome to show up.
Here are some things you can do so you can move forward with shining:
· Check the story you’re telling yourself. What is your internal narrative telling you? Is that story serving you? No judgement – just awareness!
· Own your amazing-ness. When you fully acknowledge what you bring to the table, you naturally show up with more confidence and clarity.
· Take action from your future self. It isn’t about perfection - it’s about choosing the small, intentional steps that move you toward who you’re becoming.
