Disney/Pixar’s Inside Out franchise is a favorite of mine. I love how it embodies the whole person – including feelings. It’s self-awareness at its finest!
Even though this line by Joy from the film Inside Out 2 is said about a young girl navigating big emotions, I can’t help but see its truth for all of us - especially adults and leaders.
What if we approached our teams, our friends, our community - and ourselves - the same way?
With grace, compassion and acceptance of the whole person.
The parts that are bold and uncertain, ambitious and quiet, messy and brilliant.
Because relationships aren’t about expecting perfect people. It’s about creating space for real humans - and reminding them they are seen, valued, and supported, just as they are.
And yes, that includes you too. 😉
