Message from Flynn Rider

WELCOME TO THIS MAGIC MONDAY MOMENT

Kicking off your week with some thoughts around a favorite Disney quote (because in my world - Disney is life!).

original message date: 08/04/25

Happy Monday!

Moment of vulnerability.

I’ve really been leaning into growth this year.

But not the “take-a-few-courses” kind of growth.

I mean the kind that pulls you deep - where you’re face-to-face with insecurities, limiting beliefs, and unhelpful patterns.

The kind that’s uncomfortable. The kind that’s way easier to avoid.

I’m practicing what I preach - and I won’t sugarcoat it. It doesn’t feel great right now. But I trust the process. I believe it’ll be worth it on the other side.

That’s why this quote from Flynn Rider in Disney’s Tangled landed hard this week:

Forging your own path is an act of courage. It’s a choice to stop hiding, stop deferring and stop running…from discomfort, from uncertainty, from your own voice.

Sometimes that running looks like:

· Saying yes when you mean no.

· Shrinking back when you’re meant to lead.

· Chasing someone else’s version of success.

· Ignoring the internal voice nudging you toward more.

· People-pleasing because it feels safer than rocking the boat.

But leadership [and life] aren’t about staying safe. They’re about showing up on purpose.

And to do that, we have to stop running. We have to be willing to listen, to face the discomfort, to walk through it.

So here’s our nudge: Stop running. Go through the uncomfortable. Start leading – your way.

Because the most meaningful journeys are the ones we chart for ourselves.

I’m all in. Are you?

Where in your leadership [or life] is it time to stop running—and start forging?

Wishing you a wonderful week. You've got this!
