Kicking off your week with some thoughts around a favorite Disney quote (because in my world - Disney is life!).

Happy Monday!
I can’t say I consider myself a change enthusiast — but more of a change realist. Change is always happening, whether intentionally or unintentionally. So we might as well take the reins and navigate through it, right?
The tricky thing is, our sneaky little brains often go to unhelpful places when uncertainty shows up. And with change, uncertainty is a sure thing.
This quote from the song “I Am Moana” sung by Moana from the 2016 Disney animated film of the same name is one that I love and keeps me grounded:
I encourage you to adopt this quote as well. I can’t think of a better mantra for us, especially leaders, who are navigating change, uncertainty, or just the day-to-day messiness of work and life.
It doesn’t mean we have every answer.
It doesn’t mean the road will be smooth.
But it does mean we carry an internal compass - values, purpose, clarity - that guides us through it all.
It might go against our instincts but releasing the need to control what’s next can be powerful.
Knowing who you are and putting a bit of trust in the universe - even when the future is unclear – can be magic.
I know I need this reminder – and perhaps it will serve you too:

This week, take five minutes to reconnect with your internal compass: Reflect on one value, belief, or strength that you can trust to guide you — no matter what changes around you.
