Message from Snow White
WELCOME TO THIS MAGIC MONDAY MOMENT
Kicking off your week with some thoughts around a favorite Disney quote (because in my world - Disney is life!).

Happy Monday!
Where I live – the colors of the outdoors have finally shifted from brown to green, the winter jackets are put away and the daylight is hanging on later and later. The seasonal energy shift is real – and I love it!
Still, the feeling of renewal doesn’t erase the realities of life. The 50/50 of it all remains: joy and challenge, simplicity and tension. Circumstances happen. But how we think about those circumstances will shape our experience. Sometimes, drawing on that springtime energy can make a big difference!
It reminds me of this simple line said by Snow White from Disney’s first full-length animated film, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs:
Here is what I like about it. It’s not shouting optimism from the rooftops. It’s also not denying difficulty. I am a fan of looking at things through a positive lens, but not without acknowledging and processing the tough stuff. This perspective shared by Snow White offers trust. Trust in the next step, in your own ability to move forward, and in the idea that things won’t always feel this hard.
This isn’t about toxic positivity. It’s not about slapping a smile on a hard moment and pretending everything is fine. It’s about allowing space for the hard and holding on to the belief that you’re not stuck there forever. That somehow, you’ll get along. That it’s going to be alright - even if you don’t know exactly how just yet.
It can be difficult to embrace this at times – especially when we are in the thick of uncertainty. Our brains like to swim in the negative as a way of protection. But with awareness and mental toughness, we can intentionally shift our focus.
Remember, you don’t have to always fix it all or have the answer. Sometimes, the most powerful thing you can offer is a steady presence and a little bit of faith.
Ask yourself: what’s one area of my life [or leadership] where I can lean into trust instead of control?
Wishing you a wonderful week. You've got this!
