Happy Monday!
It’s the last Monday of October! Not quite sure where the month went. That means the tail end of the year is here. How are you feeling about that?
If you’re like me, you might have a cocktail of feelings - a little excitement, a little overwhelm, maybe even a bit of “how is it already November?” 🤯
That’s just being human.
This quote from the song “I’ll Make a Man Out of You” in Disney’s 1998 animated film Mulan captures that mix beautifully:
There’s something about that line that really speaks to life. It’s the reminder that strength isn’t always loud, fast, or forceful. Sometimes it’s quiet and rooted.
The forest symbolizes stillness — deep roots, grounded presence, and the calm that allows you to listen and see clearly. For me, that’s where reflection and wisdom live.
But within that stillness, there’s also fire — energy, drive, and conviction. The fire fuels growth and forward motion. It’s what pushes us to speak up, take risks, and lead change.
And I’m here for that.
True leadership (and peace) come from balancing both. ✨ Too much fire, and you burn out — or scorch others. ✨ Too much forest, and you stagnate or hide in comfort.
The magic happens in the harmony — when you can be both steady and bold!
