Message from Queen Ramonda

WELCOME TO THIS MAGIC MONDAY MOMENT

Kicking off your week with some thoughts around a favorite Disney quote (because in my world - Disney is life!).

original message date: 04/27/26

Happy Monday!

Call it a combination of the change in weather, the almost-laughable-but-not-at-all-funny daily happenings (in the U.S.), where I am in my life, and the current alignment of the moon and stars…but I am finding myself to be a little more unapologetically myself lately.

Anyone else?

And I’m kind of digging the vibe. Queen Ramonda from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever embodies that vibe when she said:

Queen Ramonda doesn't say this with anger…and she doesn't really say it with attitude either.

She says it like a woman who knows exactly who she is.

And that is what I love.

In the movie, she's standing in front of Namor - a king who has a force and significant power. And she doesn't shrink or over-explain. She doesn't ‘soften the edges’ of herself to make the moment more comfortable.

She simply is herself - without apology.

How many times have you repeated yourself - not because someone didn't hear you, but because you weren't sure you deserved to be heard the first time?

[Oof. You might need to sit with that for a second.]

Maybe it was an idea you kept re-pitching, a boundary you kept restating, a need you kept justifying or a dream you kept explaining - hoping that this time, someone would finally validate it enough for you. For you to feel heard. Or…[you might need to sit for this one]…to believe it yourself.

Underneath it all just might be a question of worth.

Trust me - it's one of the most human things there is [🙋‍♀️].

Knowing your worth doesn't mean being loud about it. It doesn't mean demanding a seat at the table or announcing your value to every room you walk into.

It means showing up from a place of certainty that what you bring…your perspective, your presence, your voice…is enough.

In this scene - Ramonda doesn't repeat herself because she's already decided who she is...and owns it.

I’m going to keep riding that vibe. What would change for you if you did too?

I don't need the permission. And neither do you.

After all - you are the magic! ✨

Notice the moments when you're about to repeat yourself. Pause and ask: Am I saying this again because it needs to be said again? Or am I saying it again because I'm still waiting for permission to mean it?

Wishing you a wonderful week. You've got this!
