Message from Rapunzel
WELCOME TO THIS MAGIC MONDAY MOMENT
Kicking off your week with some thoughts around a favorite Disney quote (because in my world - Disney is life!).

Happy Monday!
The encouragement we get is to dream – and dream big (I offer that encouragement all of the time!). Often times – our brains aren’t immediately fully on board with that. Because we like certainty. We like safety. We like comfort.
We might even be thinking this very question that Rapunzel from Disney’s 2010 animated film, Tangled, asks:
Rapunzel asks this question in the moments right before she finally leaves her tower. She spent eighteen years of imagining the world beyond her window, and now that she's actually going, doubt creeps in. What if the thing she's wanted her whole life doesn't measure up to the version she built in her head?
I think a lot of us know that feeling. The promotion we advocated for, or the business we finally launched, or the relationship we’ve been seeking…we chase something for so long that the chasing becomes its own kind of safety - and the getting-there part is scarier than we expected. Wild, right?
Here's what I've noticed in my own journey, and in the leaders I coach: the dream rarely disappoints because reality falls short. It disappoints when we hold it up against a fantasy that was never fair to begin with.
And - if we let that question, that unknown, take up space – we are more likely to find all kinds of reasons to not even embark on the getting-there part.
So – instead of focusing on what if it’s not everything you dreamed it to be…try asking what if it is?
Name one thing you've been holding back on because you're afraid it won't measure up. This week, do it anyway - even with the doubt still talking.
Wishing you a wonderful week. You've got this!
