Happy Monday!
It’s the final few days of 2025! Are you rested? Excited? Nervous? What is the energy you are vibing on right now?
You know whose vibe I adore? The Seven Dwarfs from Disney’s first full length animated film, Snow White! I thought it would be fun to end the 2025 Magic Monday messages with a quote from their most famous song:
On the surface, it’s a simple song - just a group of [adorable] dwarfs ending their workday and heading home together.
But as we close out this year, I think there’s a deeper life and leadership lesson to be gleaned.
The end of a workday, the end of a year or most other types of endings we might experience isn’t just about stopping.
What is helpful is to transition well.
The dwarfs don’t rush ahead to what’s next and they don’t critique the day on the walk home. They move in lockstep. They sing. They create a clear, shared moment of closure.
As leaders (and humans), we often skip that part.
We jump straight from doing to planning. From one year right to the next.
But what if this week was less about pushing forward - and more about intentionally "going home" from the year?
No to-do checklist or goal-setting form. Maybe just notice if you hear a snappy little tune you didn’t realize you were humming.
Here’s to ending the year with good vibes!
