Message from Woody

WELCOME TO THIS MAGIC MONDAY MOMENT

Kicking off your week with some thoughts around a favorite Disney quote (because in my world - Disney is life!).

original message date: 06/29/26

Happy Monday!

Are you a Toy Story fan? I definitely am. It’s wild to think about how many years Woody and the gang have been a part of our lives. I was just as excited to see the latest release – Toy Story 5 – as I was seeing the original back in 1995!

Woody is the only character I wanted to pull a quote from this week. One of his most infamous (thanks to the pull-string on his back) is this:

Now…when a cowboy, even an animated one, says this – they mean it as a command. Put your hands up – no funny business.

But I like to think of it as an invitation.

The default when you hear this quote is to think first about the ‘sky’ – but I think about the ‘reach’. There is a flavor of being grounded. Because you can't reach for the sky from mid-air. You need something steady to center you – like the ground beneath you. And you have it - in your experience, your self-awareness, and everything life has taught you up to this point. There is no expiration on reaching for the sky. You start from here – in this moment.

And also - the sky isn't the same for everyone. And it isn't even the same for you across your life.

For example - the sky you were reaching for at the start of your career, like a title or a salary - looks completely different from the sky you're reaching for now. Now – it might be impact or legacy. Neither is wrong – just different.

Your sky shifts as you do. Isn’t that cool?

That's growth – and that’s what it’s all about!

So - what's your sky right now?

Because you can't reach for something you haven't named. And the world needs you reaching!

Remember - you are the magic. ✨

Finish this sentence: Right now, my sky is _____. Write it down and put it out into the universe!

Wishing you a wonderful week. You've got this!
